Winter dials

A look at two beautiful sundials shot under December's winter veil of clouds. Both of these dials are located in public gardens here in Madison, WI  Brass sundial with equation of time plate is a prominent element at the Allen Centennial Garden on the University Of Wisconsin campus.  Limestone horizontal sundial with bronze gnomon. Love the natural moss patina developing on the dial face. This sundial is located in Olbrich Gardens.  Another view shows the modern welded bar pedestal.
