Our cold cast bronze sundials are a nice happy medium alternative to solid brass. These dials are made from a crushed stone and resin material and coated on the outside with a layer of real bronze. The result is a dial that has the appearance of solid bronze as the price that is quite a bit lower.  Left outside the bronze will develop a natural patina just like other brass or bronze dials. However, since the base material is a stone resin, it’s important to bring the dial into a garage or indoors during cold winters. There is a risk of cracking if left outside all winter.
